75% chance of big storm 29-31 Jan FRI – SUN
estimated today over 2 feet Truckee to Kern
Storm to start warm about a foot every 24 hours then end of cycle to do another inch of water.
Will estimate elevation closer to storm … right now snow to 5000 feet … Truckee to Kernville!

Storms for weekend are gonna dump a lot fast … It is estimated if slow up and take three days instead of 2 days could dump 50% more
Mammoth a 100 % chance a foot in town maybe more … 50% chance storm slows and dumps more
Truckee 100% chance 2.5 inches rain 6k feet then 2 days 30th and 31st sat sun 6-12 inches snow 6000 feet.
Kern estimates 80% chance 1.75 inches rain at 4000 feet
Stayton Oregon 500 feet elevation Rain now to 6 feb 8 days snow Sun-Mon 100% chance 1.5 inches rain and a 75% chance another 1.5 inches rain same 8 days
Etna CA 3000 feet near Shasta 100% chance 2 inches rain 30-31st next storm 2-4 feb 1/2 inch rain

Snow levels high Friday … 8500-9000 feet temps in the 50’s at 3000 feet
Truckee area going to have a 3 plus foot … 3 plus inches rain Friday ! Snow Sat – Sun 3-6 inches at 6000 feet snowing to 3000 feet
Mammoth town 1.5 inches rain Friday 8000 feet turn to snow SAT-SUN 6in to a foot
It may snow ALL day SUNDAY with light snow to 3000 feet for most of Sierras ! 1-3 inches up and down the HWY 395 at 3000 feet

Awesome, we need it. We rode from Sugarloaf this afternoon and it’s pretty thin for the first 1/4 mile from the parking area with lots of sections of pavement showing. We rode into Tobias Peak and Frog Meadow area, and it was awesome! To the guy with the groomer, thanks for grooming the area. That’s mighty kind of you. I’m new to snowmobiling so thanks for providing the information here so we can figure out where to go. We hope to make it to one of the trips coming up so we’ll see you guys out there.

Everything going correct for achieving snow estimates. Foot plus at 6000 feet and 2 plus feet at 8000 feet or more
Storm to end 1 Feb Monday morning.
Snowing tonight to 3000 feet with few inches accumulation expected around 3500 – 4000 feet.
Stay cold to Wednesday then blue sky warming / riding next weekend 4-6 February.
No more storms in 10 day forecast
