We were just up at Sherman pass today. Snow is great for trail riding, but not so much for off trail. Either way it was nice powder. I plan on having a trip report up later this evening about the day.
I can’t say for sure about Surgarloaf, but on the Sherman side of the kern river, we had good coverage at 6,000 feet, and unloaded around 6,400 feet. If I had to take a guess I’d say Sugarloaf would have ok coverage for trail riding, but again, I can’t say for certain.
Road from Greenhorn to Portugaze Pass (sp?) heavy ruts from 4 wheelers. Gate was un-locked. I have a new Polaris Rzr 1000. Put tracks and ski’s on for this run. Worked great. Good snow if you could stay out of ruts.
