Any word on how much they got yesterday and overnight?
March 12, 2016 at 7:46 pm #603donbrown
At least a foot plus at 8000 feet so over 7 feet at 8000 feet
Snow gets deep fast at 8000 feet
Based on Satellite hydrographics it rained at 7000 feet and the snow is very thin around Blackrock.

I’m heading up there tomorrow morning to Nordic ski so I’ll let everyone know how it is. The greenhorn cam at Alta Sierra is looking pretty thin so I think Sherman is the best spot shy of driving really far to Mammoth or Shaver Lake. Thanks for the posts. I am new to this blog though I’ve been an avid snow enthusiast for a long time.

You probably wont see anyone up there. Lots of unmarked trail for you to ski.
Call NPS at 1-760-376-3781 press 00 for any forest service info. For breakfast I recommend the cracked egg in Kernville
Please bring toilet paper !!!!

Sequoias has 10% chance for storm BUT 90% chance north of Mammoth !
Gonna storm 1/2 in to inch rain front of storm then snow on tail end.
Rain at first up to 8000 feet
Snow at end to 6000 feet.
Start north of mammoth and best Bear Valley – Truckee.
Of course Shasta gonna get a whole bunch … more rain than snow
