After it took an hour to turn around my four place trailer (due to Mr. Plow not clearing a wide enough spot in the road) we rode Sherman Pass. There was about 40 inches at the Pass Snowstake. We rode to the Yurt, West Meadow and to the Peak. Only one spot was ice near the top of the peak. The snow has already set up for off trail riding. Stay clear of the stuck truck on the 101 trail between 103 and 104 trails. It would be nice to see the groomer out.
At the truck the road is wide enough to ride on either side of the truck with no problem. It is on a slight right hand corner (going in from the pass) so caution should be used but you do have time to respond. Another few feet and it will just a a slight bump in the road (so to speak! LOL!)
Roy I saw you on the peak cam, very jealous. I also met the guy who got his truck stuck, He passed me by Troy Meadows in a KIA and was asking about the road conditions, my advice was turn around, he did. May will be a good time to pick up that truck! I helped a guy in a Camaro from Chicago, that was stuck on December 19 near black rock, no chains, no winter clothes, no common sense. Have fun, c u on the mountain!
